Cobblers Crafts is open for business!

I’ve finally opened a little Etsy shop for my embroidery hoops and patterns. I’m really enjoying being creative, designing and stitching. Nature is my biggest inspiration, as always! There are quite a few items for sale if you want to have a look. If you have any thoughts or ideas feel free to let me know!

I’ve also been working on some Yorkshire landscape designs. I’ve already designed a 6″ Yorkshire Dales hoop, of the gorgeous wildflower meadows in Muker (the subject of a recent blog)…

And I made a Yorkshire Wolds hoop for my cousin’s birthday. I’m planning on making another, perhaps without the people.

That leaves the Yorkshire Coast and the North York Moors. Once they’re done I’d like to photograph them and turn them into greetings cards…eventually! These particular hoops takes so many hours that they aren’t worth trying to sell as you could never get back the hours you put in. Besides, I do love having them on our walls!

I’ve also enjoyed stitching on a pair of cut up old jeans…not sure if that’s up-cycling or re-purposing?!

As always, curious Ruby has been helping me out. With this leafy design I wasn’t sure which way up to display it. Ruby stuck her legs in the air, which I think meant she preferred it with the leaves going up!

I’ll leave you with one of my favourite hoops – I just adore the fabric! And who doesn’t love a moon gazing hare?
